Executive Development & Growth Exchange Programme for Middle Management
The Executive Development & Growth Exchange Programme (EDGE) is a practitioner-led course designed for young, high-performing Singapore Public Service officers in the I&E sector who demonstrate leadership potential and aspire to acquire broader perspectives on the urban development of Singapore.

Programme Outline
The EDGE Programme provides insights into the principles underlying urban development successes in Singapore and internationally, and encourages cross-disciplinary approaches to urban issues. The programme emphasises knowledge, skills and critical thinking on urban challenges, helping participants contribute towards liveability and sustainability, and is based on:
- Urban Systems Studies seminars – Drawing lessons from the past
- Learning Journeys – Showcasing how Singapore delivers integrated urban solutions, and demonstrating how People-Private-Public networks work together to translate and implement citizen-centric solutions
- Overseas study trips – Drawing parallels and contrasting Singapore’s urban transformation with the experiences of other cities, including New York, Shanghai and Suzhou
- Networks – Engaging stellar alumni, public sector leaders, urban pioneers and policy practitioners from the urban infrastructure, environmental, economic and private sectors
