The Centre cultivates thought leadership on liveable and sustainable cities through various events targeting diverse urban stakeholders. These events range from global conferences attended by mayors and city leaders to workshops and roundtable sessions for industry experts and practitioners, as well as student engagement programmes.
The Centre’s flagship events include:
The World Cities Summit
The biennial World Cities Summit is an exclusive platform for government leaders and industry experts to address city challenges, share integrated urban solutions and forge new partnerships. The Summit is held in conjunction with the Singapore International Water Week, and the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore. Together with the integrated exhibition City Solutions Singapore, these three global events offer delegates an unparalleled platform to network with a wider group of public and private sector players, and to discover synergies between urban planning, water and environmental solutions.
Jointly organised with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore, key highlights of the Summit include the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize Lecture, the annual World Cities Summit Mayors Forum and the World Cities Summit Young Leaders Symposium.
The next edition of the World Cities Summit will be held in Singapore from 20 to 24 June 2021.
