It charts the city-state’s urban development over the last half-century, including Lee’s pivotal role, through first-hand accounts by top officials – Peter Ho on planning, Liu Thai Ker on housing, Tan Wee Kiat on greening and Khoo Teng Chye on water. Chua Beng Huat, Simon Tay, and Burhan Gafoor provide commentary on these themes, while Ho Kwon Ping, Liew Mun Leong, Aline Wong and Aaron Maniam consider future challenges.
